Project Love 2017 | |

![]() Project Love is an annual project co-organized by Jurong Central Citizens' Consultative Committees, Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong) and schools in Jurong Central. In an attempt to bring cheer and brighten the festive period during Chinese New Year, volunteers distribute food hampers to the deserving households of all races. This year, the event was held on 21st January 2017. Student volunteers from Singapore Polytechnic and National Public School International, as well as volunteers from LHMSCJ’s Free Tuition Programme and Free TCM Clinic distributed more than 400 food hampers to residents in rental blocks at Jurong East Street 32. The event was graced by our Adviser, Mr Ang Wei Neng, MP for Jurong GRC. |

Pro-bono Scratch Programming by Mr Jeffrey Chee (Free Tuition Volunteer) | |
On 3rd June 2017, Loving Heart Free Tuition volunteer conducted a pro-bono Scratch Programming with students from the Free Tuition Programme. During the session, students were offered an introductory course on Scratch Programming and gained hands-on experience in making their own digital Christmas card. |

Loving Heart Children Fiesta 2017 | |
Through the kind and generous sponsorship from a group of donors, students from the Free Tuition Programme were engaged in fun and games through friendly competition among their peers during the Fiesta. Through the leadership and imitative of students from Jurong Secondary School, Free Tuition students were engaged in various games and displayed great teamwork and respect as they competed with their peers to win Popular vouchers. Students also had the opportunity to engage in barbequing. Each student received goodie bag consisting of stationery and $10 Popular voucher. Aside from the sponsorship received from our donors, Loving Heart would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jurong-Clementi Town Council for providing free usage of the Covered Activity Plaza, Resident Committee Zone E for free usage of the BBQ pits, Jurong Secondary School students for planning the games and lastly, our volunteers for making this event possible! |

Hong Kah Secondary School, Lunch for the Elderly | |
![]() Hong Kah Secondary School, in relation to their Molecular Gastronomy module, held a lunch event at their school on 26th October 2017 for 13 elderlies from St Luke’s Eldercare (Jurong East Centre). The members of Community Development Councils (CDC) treated 30 Free Tuition students to an afternoon at the Resort World Universal Studio Singapore on 30 November 2017 by bearing the cost of the tickets and transportation, allowing the students to have an exciting and fun-filled time! |

Stop-Motion Animation Workshop by Animagine-Samsung Digital Arts Studio | |
Through the good office of Animagine Pte Ltd and Samsung Digital Arts Studio, Primary 1 – 3 students attended a Stop-Motion Animation Workshop. The aim of the workshop was to promote the creation of digital media using the latest mobile devices. Participants acquired knowledge and skills in stop-motion animation through experiential learning and hands-on sessions. |

Learning and Leadership with Esports by Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) | |
The Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) conducted a Learning and Leadership with Esports workshop for Free Tuition programme students. The goal of the workshop was to engage with children and youths who love games through Vainglory. The objectives are to improve students’ self-control, teamwork and resilience. The workshop was conducted by lead trainers from the National Youth Council funded Esports Academy. |
