Annual Appreciation Dinner
This event is to express our appreciation to our partner schools and their respective Principals for their continuous support in our school based programmes. Our Advisers graced this annual event.
A venue would be selected every year where it is conducive for Principals, Vice Principals, SAC Chairpersons, guests, our Management Committee members and staffs to have a dialogue session. This is to provide a platform for feedback on ways to improve Loving Heart's programmes and to explore new collaborations with Loving Heart for future activities. A sumptuous full- course meal is included with light entertainment.
This was started by Loving Heart to express our appreciation and for the effort and contribution of our very own group of dedicated and selfless volunteers.
In 2012, volunteers were treated to an IMAX Show and a buffet at Science Centre.
On 25 May 2013, the VAP is held at Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC). Invited volunteers are treated to an action-packed 3D movie, followed by a guided tour of SDC Exhibitions and dinner. Mr Ang Wei Neng, MP for Jurong GRC and Adviser to Loving Heart graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.
From 2014, the Principal's Appreciation Dinner would be celebrated together with Volunteers' Appreciation Party. In year 2014, the dinner was held at The Fairway Club. The event was graced by Mr Desmond Lee Ti-Seng, Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs & National Development, MP for Jurong GRC and Mr Ang Wei Neng, MP Jurong for GRC .
In appreciation to our partnering schools and volunteers for their support and efforts, Loving Heart held its Annual Appreciation Dinner on 26 November 2017 at Blossom Garden Restaurant, HomeTeam NS Bukit Batok. Our Advisers, Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development, MP for Jurong GRC and Mr Ang Wei Neng, MP for Jurong GRC graced their presence on this meaningful event.
Loving Heart partnering schools’ Principals, Teachers in-charge and volunteers were invited to enjoy a nine-course dinner and performances put up by Lakeside Primary School’s Harmonica Band, Hip-Hop dance performance by Jurongville Secondary School’s S.T.A.M.P students and Faith Music Centre’s Cactus Rose band. We were also thankful for the efforts of the student emcees from Jurongville Secondary School.
Before the commencement of the dinner, guests were engaged in a group dialogue session, to gather feedback and seek improvements on our existing programmes. These sessions provided valuable insight for Loving Heart to set the future direction of our programmes. Loving Heart also took this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to our volunteers by presenting them with Certificates of Appreciation for their efforts and commitment in making a difference to the lives of our beneficiaries. Volunteer of the Year was also presented to volunteers of each programme for their outstanding efforts in going the extra mile.
Students from our S.T.A.M.P Programme were also invited to receive a Certificate of Accomplishment and Popular vouchers in recognition of their significant academic and behavioural improvements made during the course of the S.T.A.M.P programme. We were also extremely grateful to NTUC Fairprice Foundation Ltd for their donation of $75,000 towards the Pupil Breakfast Scheme. During the dinner, General Manager of FairPrice Foundation, Mr Lum Hon Fye (left) presented FairPrice Foundation’s donation of $75,000 to Loving Heart Advisers Mr Desmond Lee and Mr Ang Wei Neng and Loving Heart Chairman, Mr Goh Cheng Tee (right).
We hope that our Partners and Volunteers enjoyed themselves, and continue to impact and transform the lives of even more beneficiaries in the years to come!
